Water Supply in Emergencies Course

WATDEC is offering a free course in Water Supply in Emergencies. The course is designed for technical professionals, students and graduates who want to gain knowledge in the field of water and sanitation.


Course Objectives

At the end of this course the students will be able to:

  • Understand the general principles of emergency water management.
  • Identify the water needs and requirements of displaced people in emergency.
  • Identify the possible sources of water, water related health risks, the quality assessment methods used, the type of treatment technique needed, and the protection of water source in disaster.


Course Starting dates

Every other month 30 participants are considered to start the course. Starting dates for the course in the 1st Quarter of 2018 are:

Monday 8th of January 2018

Monday 5th of February 2018

Monday 5th of March 2018

After enrolling, participants receive course material on the preferred starting date of the course.

From the starting date participants undertake the course at their own pace. The course material guides participants through the modules and exercises completing them at their own pace.
